Can I Sleep With You

I swear that was one of the funniest lines in the movie Heavy Metal. Someone with boobs bigger than your head undressing at the foot of your bed asking a question like that, “Go on, twist my arm.”

This bodacious babe was Harry Canyon’s girl. One thing I find amazing about this character is the fact throughout the entire story we never once hear what her name is. Harry saves her, screws her, makes a risky mob trade with her, then gets betrayed by her and he kills her. All that and not once did Harry ever hear what her name was, nor did he care. ‘Just a little greedy’ is the only afterthought he gave her.

And I figure that’s the point. That’s all the character was ever meant to be. She’s rescued, we get to see her tits, we see her fucked, the hero makes a little money off of her, what’s left to do but kill her after all of that? That end scene was only there so the hero doesn’t get saddled with some babe, and he gets to remain a hero by killing her in self defense. It was the ultimate misogynist comment in ten minutes of animation, and so comically blatant I can’t help but like it. It turned me on to Mike Hammer novels and old Film Noir movies.
